can offer our guests a very extensive cultural programme.
They can choose between classic music, jazz, blues , traditional
folk music, theatrical performances and cabaret – all
according to taste. Many famous celebrities came from this
area, where they are still remembered and honoured. One of
them was the dramatist, Carl Zuckmayer, who lived for part
of his life in Henndorf am Wallersee.
Furthermore, the famous composer, Anton Diabelli, was born
in Mattsee and the music festival, „Diabelli Sommer“,
which is performed every summer, carries his name with pride.
During the summer months make the most of the many concerts
at the Diabelli festival, the performances on the Seebühne
Seeham (stage built out into the lake), plays at the open-air
Schlossberg theatre in Mattsee or the Bierkabarett in Obertrum
(cabaret in a beer cellar)!

is the traditional Christkindlmarkt in the old city of Salzburg.
If there is an abundance of snow, then there are several sporting
package deals, where guests can go skiing and cross-country
skiing,- for example on the Buchberg in Mattsee. In Strasswalchen
there is also an artificial ice rink.
Or how about a romantic ride in a horse-drawn
sleigh, or a walk through snowy woods? As the lakes freeze,
the villages come to life, for then it is possible to go skating,
curling or ice-sailing – depending on the weather!
Traditional culinary delights are plentiful in our local restaurants
and inns, which provide a diversity of regional dishes, including
amongst others, fish from the lakes, variations on dumplings
and a breakfast of organic products bought directly from the
