Hiking in the Lake District Print

Walking and hiking in the Lake District – quite an experience!

The Salzburg Lake District is not an alpine area.  It’s more a place for easy-going walks with the family and excursions in magnificent  countryside and over undulating hills.  For example, how about a walk to the Buchberg National Park?  Or the historical  Ice Age round tour in Henndorf, with fantastic views across the lake District to the Alps? The  Wenger Moor and Weidmoos are both a paradise of Nature, especially for ornithologists and lovers of flora and fauna. By the way, both excursions are possible with a baby’s buggy or pushchair!!

The variety of walks and hikes along the banks of the lakes, through the National Trust Areas and over the hills with panoramic views, is manifold and unforgettable for the whole family.

Discover and enjoy the Salzburg Lake District!
