20 bike partners within the six regions of Upper Austria and Salzburg formed the Road Bike Region Salzburger Land Salzkammergut in June 2010. The regions are: Mondseeland, Attersee, Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Salzburger Seenland, Eugendorf and some locations near Salzburg.

The road bike area stretches from Salzburg deep into the Salzkammergut area, the northern part of the Salzburger lake area and the Dachstein region. Many of the chosen tours have various grades of difficulty, take you through the beauty of this road bike region and offer you an interplay of lake and mountain landscapes. 20 chosen partner companies fulfill a list of criteria which help to make your stay a unique experience. Regions as well as the area around Anthering, Elixhausen and Bergheim have worked out an ambitious marketing plan for the future. The Provinces of Upper Austria and Salzburg support this plan financially in order to enable a professional appearance and start in 2011.
