There are already 3 points where e-bikes can be hired in the Salzburg Lake District: in Henndorf, Mattsee and Seeham! For a price of €2,50 upwards both guests and locals can try to convince themselves of this new and comfortable means of transport. Information is available in all tourist offices (under „Verleihstationen“ or „hire points“)

• Pedelec is the general name for an electric bicycle, which will move, either with an electric motor or by the person pedalling.
• The motor gives support as long as the person is pedalling. The more you pedal, the more backing is given.
• The average distance which can be covered before re-charging is around 50 kilometers, depending on terrain.
