Oberndorf

Welcome to Oberndorf

This  small town of Oberndorf is known for the Christmas carol „Silent Night“, which was written, composed and performed here for the first time, then to become  world-famous.

History and tradition are alive in this small town, which was once joined to the small german town of Laufen but is now separated by the river Salzach. However the two towns are still closely associated and are an ideal starting point for cyclists and walkers.
