In 2001 Michael Aufhauser opened his first „Animal Paradise“ in Henndorf am Wallersee. Former celtic settlers always sought sites radiating particular energies before they built. Gut Aiderbichl was also constructed on such a site. In the meantime there are numerous happy stories about the animals, which are supposed to encourage you to think or rethink about how we associate with weaker beings. The ardent pleadings for humaneness at all levels bring out a deep desire in people.
There are three animal sanctuaries which can be visited daily, with more than 20 different animal species: Henndorf am Wallersee in the Salzburg Lake District, Iffeldorf near Munich and Deggendorf near Passau.
Both the Easter and the Christmas Markets at Gut Aiderbichl are truly magnets to the public, where visitors not only enjoy the animals but also the atmosphere of the markets. Guided tours for groups are available free of charge at Gut Aiderbichl.
Visitors love the idyllic idea of the bond between animals and humans.
1 x visit to Gut Aiderbichl is free with the Seenland Card!
