Slow Bike
Tour

Length: 163 km

The "3 EuRegio Summit - the Gaisberg with the natural forest reserve, the Högl with its biotopes and the Buchberg with the nature park - play a central role in this varied cycle tour.

From Salzburg across the Bavarian border area, the total 163 km route leads back to Salzburg via Grödig, Bad Reichenhall, Wals, Piding, Laufen, Oberndorf, Berndorf, Perwang, Seeham, Mattsee, Seekirchen and Hallwang.

Across meadows and through forests of the alpine foothills leads the second stage from Oberndorf - known for its Silent Night Chapel - via the nature reserve Grabensee and the bio-village Seeham to Mattsee with the station Buchberg Nature Park (801 m).

From the observation tower, the view opens up onto more than 120 Alpine peaks and the gently rolling Salzburg Seenland. The nature adventure playground and the erratic boulder park with exciting themed panels make the rest stop an entertaining experience for the whole family.

From Mattsee, the route leads to Seekirchen with its Wallersee, the warmest bathing lake in Salzburger Land, and on to Eugendorf.
From here, the route follows the route of the former Ischlerbahn to Hallwang and the city of Salzburg, where you quickly reach the city centre along the banks of the Salzach.
