Fun for the whole family!
The chugging slow train has been bringing a smile to the faces of young and old for 35 years now. When you hear the distinctive sound from afar, children's eyes light up and they wait with joy for the arrival of the colourful train.
The popular free means of transport turns at Easterto the extended Weekends in spring* and in the Summer holidays The train makes its rounds through Seekirchen all day in good weather, ensuring a carefree trip to a swimming excursion on the Wallersee. The slow train also runs on Advent weekends as part of the Advent market LightsLights on Wallersee.
*Update: The slow train runs in May & June 2026 additional on ALL weekends!
Rides in fair weather, cloudy conditions and drizzle. NO journeys during storms, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Subject to change (workshop dates, etc.)
With the Collector's pass you can pinch off the days on which you travel on the slow train and collect cool badges!
Renovation and accessibilityIn spring 2024, the slow train was completely renovated, made barrier-free and given a new look!
Tip along the route: Enjoy the surroundings, the nature, the view of the lake and watch the hustle and bustle along the route. There is always something to discover!
The Wallersee Express can also be used for a Special trip can be booked (outside scheduled hours) for birthday parties and events.
