Making #Metres together and shaping the mobility transition: As the summer draws to a close, we can look back on a successful season! Despite a few rainy days, the slow train once again took numerous guests - young and old - from the city centre to the lido this year www.mobilitaetswoche.at
World Cleanup Day: #SClean up along the slow train route
At the end of the To mark the start of the slow train season, we collected rubbish along the slow train route on Saturday 20 September to mark World Cleanup Day. Over 30 hard-working helpers took part in the rubbish collection campaign. A total of around 20kg of rubbish was collected! Afterwards there was refreshing ice cream from the Seecafé at Seekirchen lido, cool goodies from the Mobility Week and an extra ride on the slow train for all the hard-working helpers! Thanks for taking part! Gogether we were able to set an example in terms of environmental protection and waste avoidance.
Rubbish bags, gloves and tongs were provided by Green Heroes Austria and the municipality of Seekirchen!
Blooming (moss) road: #ColourfulMaking for a thriving Seekirchen
The Seekirchen Tourist Board, in collaboration with the artists Claudia Ausweger, Ulla Hagenstein and Adisa Šerifović-Moćević a section of Moosstrasse into a colourful work of art. With the support of over 350 children from several school classes and kindergarten groups, the street was painted with creative motifs. On the afternoons, the painting campaign was also open to the public, whereupon numerous families enthusiastically picked up their paintbrushes. As a little refreshment after painting, there was a refreshing ice cream from Eiswerk.
With every move, every idea and every support, something great has been created. For the coming weeks, the painted section will now be a colourful part of many Kindergarten, school, work and everyday journeys. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed!
Some motifs are framed as pictures at the Advent market LichterLeuchten at the Seekirchen lido for a good cause offered for sale and also in the course of an exhibition in the municipal office will be presented (information will follow)!
