At Sunday, 21.12.2025 takes place an atmospheric Winter solstice celebration with mystical Rauhnacht magic at the Seekirchen lido. The celebration will be opened by an impressive fire show by Drumsonfire. This will be followed by a heavenly visit: the Germanic goddess „Sunna“ (embodied by the artist Lydia Nassall) will lead us into ancient mysticism and bring light back to earth after a long period of darkness. This is symbolically represented by the lighting of the warming winter solstice fire, accompanied by the gloomy figures of the Seekirchner See-Teifin. If you look closely into the fire, you can see the glowing silhouettes of dancing witches in the mysterious glow of the flames.
- From 15:45 the free Slow train shuttle every half hour between the city centre and the lido (first trip from the Faberhaus car park)
- From 16:00: Admission and catering
- From 6 p.m.: Fire show by Drumsonfire
- At approximately 6:30 p.m.: mystical Rauhnacht magic with the goddess Sunna and the Seekirchner See-Teifin
A special evening full of symbolism invites you to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one.
Let go of the old – welcome the new: Write down your wishes and concerns on pieces of paper, which can be handed over to the winter solstice bonfire on site. Feel free to bring a lantern and take a little light from the big fire.

HOW TO GET THERE:
Parking: Two free car parks are available at the Seekirchen lido. As experience has shown that the car parks are quickly overcrowded at this event, we recommend travelling by public transport:
- Slow train shuttle from 15:45: Free travel from the city centre (Faber car park) with the slow train possible!
- Public transport
- From Salzburg main station: Take the S2, R, REX or bus 131 to Seekirchen/Wallersee station, then approx. 12 minutes (1.1 km) on foot.
- From Neumarkt: Take the S2, R or REX to Seekirchen/Wallersee station, then approx. 12 minutes (1.1 km) on foot.
- The exact departure times can be found in the ÖBB Scotty app.
