Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data and safeguarding the fundamental right to data protection is important to us. To ensure that you feel safe when visiting our website, we strictly observe the statutory provisions when processing your personal data and would like to inform you here about our data collection and data use. The following data protection declaration explains to you which data is collected from you on our website and which of this data we process and use in what way and whom you can contact with any concerns.

1. scope of application

This data protection declaration only applies to the Salzburg Seenland Tourismus GmbH (hereinafter "Seenland Tourism" or "we") operated websites. It does not apply to websites that are not linked to this privacy statement or to those operated by third parties such as Facebook. We recommend that you review the privacy statements posted on those websites.

By using this website, you agree to the following terms of our privacy policy.

You can revoke your consent to this privacy policy or individual points in writing at any time by contacting us (see point 9).

2. collection, processing and use of personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, e-mail address, telephone number and all inventory data that you provide us with when making your enquiry.

Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by us if this is permitted by law or you consent to the data collection. We collect information from you directly from your input and automatically through the technologies of the online applications.

2.1 Collection, processing and use of your personal data
We collect, store and process your data for technical administration, statistical analysis, our own marketing purposes (see point 2.2) and to prevent crime and fraud or to identify security threats. Furthermore, we use your data in particular for the performance of the following actions:

2.1.1 Log files
When visiting our website www.salzburger-seenland.at log files are stored by default for technical reasons, so-called log files. These data records contain the following data: Date, time, name of the page accessed, IP address, the website from which you visit us (referrer URL), browser type and operating system. We also automatically record and store which pages you visit. This data is stored and analysed anonymously. Anonymised means that we cannot assign the data to a specific or identifiable natural person or can only do so with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and effort.

2.1.2 Passing on to third parties
Your personal information will only be disclosed to third parties as permitted by law (to enforce or comply with a governmental order, law or regulation, to detect and prevent security threats, fraud or other malicious activity, to protect or enforce our rights or property, or to protect the rights or personal safety of our employees and others), for marketing or promotional purposes, or with your prior consent.

It may happen that third-party content, such as maps from YouTube videos, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, is integrated within our website. This always requires that the providers of this content are aware of the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We endeavour to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers store your IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we will inform you of this.

Some of your personal data is stored by third parties such as Google, Facebook, Mailchimp etc. in the USA and disclosed by them for certain purposes. In order to find out for which purposes your data is disclosed, we recommend that you review the respective data protection declarations.

2.2 Use of your data for advertising purposes
We also use your information for the following purposes: to communicate about specific products or marketing promotions, to recommend products or services that may be of interest to you, to invite you to participate in surveys or similar promotions:

2.2.1 Newsletter
To send the newsletter, we use the email address you provide and require your confirmation that you, as the owner of the email address, agree to receive it. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. you must explicitly confirm that we should activate the newsletter service for you. You will then receive a confirmation and authorisation e-mail from us, asking you to click on the link contained in this e-mail to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter.

Your consent to the newsletter is voluntary and can be revoked at any time. The revocation can of course be made via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by sending a message in text form to the contact details mentioned under point 10 (e.g. e-mail or letter).

2.2.2 Product recommendations
We also use your data to communicate with you - regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter - as part of marketing campaigns about certain products and services that may be of interest to you. These marketing campaigns take the form of mailings either by email or by post. Consent to receive these mailings is voluntary and can be revoked at any time. The revocation can of course be made via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by sending a message in text form to the contact details mentioned under point 10 (e.g. e-mail or letter).

2.2.3. raffles
In the case of competitions, we use your data for the purpose of prize notification and advertising for our offers. Detailed information can be found in our conditions of participation for the respective competition.

2.3 Contributions & Comments
When users leave comments on the blog or other posts, their IP addresses are stored. This is done for the security of the provider in case someone writes illegal content in comments and posts (insults, forbidden political propaganda, etc.). In this case, the provider itself can be prosecuted for the comment or post and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.

3. cookies and targeting

Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. However, we would like to point out that the use of certain functions is only possible if you allow us to use cookies or that the functionality of our website is restricted.

3.1 What are cookies?
Cookies are text files that are stored locally on your computer's hard drive and sent back to the web server when you access the website later.

Basically, a distinction is made between two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your data carrier for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to design our websites and our offers for you accordingly and makes it easier for you to use them, for example by storing certain entries you make so that you do not have to keep repeating them.

We also use "web beacons" (tracking pixels) on the browser side. Web beacons are third party cookies and are placed on a website or in an email (newsletter) which can be used to analyse the online behaviour of visitors to the website or when they click on the newsletter.

3.2. which cookies do the conceptionists use?
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (end of session) (therefore also session cookies). In addition, we also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. During a further visit, it is then automatically recognised that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifetime 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the specified time. These cookies in particular serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, for you to receive information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests. The sole purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offer to your customer wishes in the best possible way and to make surfing with us as comfortable as possible for you.

3.3 What data is stored in the cookies?
Only pseudonymous data is stored in the cookies we use. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number and an assignment of your personal data to this identification number is not made. Your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be directly assigned to you are not inserted into the cookie.

3.4 Re-targeting
Our websites may use so-called re-targeting technologies. By using these technologies, we can make the internet offer more interesting for you. This technology makes it possible to address internet users who are already interested in our shop and our products with advertising on the websites of our partners. The display of these advertisements on our partners' websites is based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous user behaviour. This form of advertising is completely pseudonymous. Through the use of cookies, your usage data is collected, stored and used. Furthermore, your data is stored in cookies beyond the end of the browser session and can, for example, be accessed again during your next visits to the websites.

3.5 How can you prevent cookies from being stored?
In your browser, you can set that cookies are only accepted if you agree to this and thus prevent further cookies from being set in the future. If you only want to accept the konzeptionisten GmbH cookies but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the setting in your browser "Block third-party cookies". In the menu bar of your web browser, the help function will show you how to reject new cookies and switch off those you have already received. If you block cookies, it may not (or no longer) be possible for you to register, log in or make full use of the services on our website.

By the way, you can manage many online ad cookies from companies via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

I agree that konzeptionisten GmbH may use the data provided by me as well as pseudonymised usage data to present me with personalised advertising and/or special offers and services.
