Hiking with panoramic views from the Gaisberg, Nockstein, Schober & Untersberg
All around Salzburg Seenland there are numerous opportunities for scenic hikes in the nearby mountains - just a few minutes' drive away!
Nockstein: The starting point is in the centre of Koppl. Via trail no. 70, it takes about 1.3 hours and 300 metres to reach the Nockstein, accompanied by a particularly beautiful view.
Rick: The 7km hike starts in Fuschl am See and takes approx. 2h 10min (600 metres of ascent). You can reach the Schober either directly (anti-clockwise) or via the Frauenkopf (clockwise).
Gaisberg: Salzburg's local mountain is a true hiking paradise. Numerous hiking trails, such as the Zistelrunde (trail 13b, approx. 2.6km) or the Gaisberg circular hiking trail (trail 13c, approx. 15min) are ideal for an excursion „above“ the state capital.
Untersberg: Various hiking trails lead up to the Untersberg from Grödig. Alternatively, you can take the cable car to the plateau, from where there are several hiking and walking trails as well as magnificent views.
The surrounding mountains offer a marvellous panorama with spectacular views of the Salzburg Seenland and far beyond!
