Animals are our life
Aiderbichl has been working for animals for over twenty years.
"As long as we have to protect the animals from us humans, we have achieved nothing. Only when we no longer have to protect the animals will we have reached our goal. Then we will have changed something: US!", says Michael Aufhauser, founder of Gut Aiderbichl.
Even before Gut Aiderbichl was founded in 2001, Michael Aufhauser had been a strong advocate for animal rights. Together with Managing Director Dieter Ehrengruber, Gut Aiderbichl thus became a driving force for animal welfare. In the meantime, its sphere of action extends across six countries in Europe. As an animal welfare organisation Gut Aiderbichl animals from the most diverse life situations and guarantees them a species-appropriate and loving "forever home". Currently, around 6000 animals from 35 different species live on the farms of Gut Aiderbichl.
Gut Aiderbichl would like Making animal welfare tangible. That is why you can also visit the rescued animals at our three encounter farms.
One of these farms is in Henndorf on Wallersee, in the middle of Salzburg's Seenland. Walk with the pigs around the farm or cuddle with free-roaming donkeys and ponies.
Our animals are happy about your visit! And don't worry about your own four-legged friend - visitors with dogs are just as welcome.
Easter and Christmas markets are highlights of the year.
1x free entrance to the manor (does not apply to the annual exhibition!)
Special tours: The big Aiderbichl tour, tailor-made seminar tours, learning expeditions, company tours or incentive tours are organised on request. In the course of a special tour, for example, the Gut Aiderbichl Monkey Refuge in Gänserndorf or Gut Aiderbichl France can also be visited.
