Boat & walk
the little excursion

©N. Eisele-Hein

A trip on the Seenland boat trip promises pure variety. The view glides over idyllic banks with pretty houses and gently rolling hills.
Between Mattsee and Obertrumer See, the route passes under St John's Bridge - here you need to sit down, as the roof is lowered.
Once you have arrived at the landing stage, you can take a leisurely stroll and explore the area before returning by boat or bus.

Our tips for a two-hour stay

MATTSEE:

Milleniumsweg Mattsee - A leisurely walk around Wartstein and Schlossberg to the Bajuwarengehöft.

Past the magnificent villas of the imperial summer resort, the historic lido and the picturesque promenade, the trail offers views and insights into times gone by. The Wartstein - the northernmost point in the Alps - can be crossed or circumnavigated. The highlight is the Wartstein chapel with its marvellous viewpoints.

You can plan a total of 1.5 to 2 hours for both circular trails together. Along the two circular trails, a total of 38 information boards tell the story of thousands of years of natural and cultural history.

To round off the tour, enjoy a refreshment or ice cream on the market square.

SEEHAM:

Bee adventure trail Seeham - Discover & protect nature

With scientific support and in cooperation with the beekeepers, a varied and informative themed trail has been created in the Seeham bio-village. It shows the fascinating work of wild and honey bees and the unique symbiosis between flora and fauna - and makes people aware of how important it is to preserve them.

The starting point is at the Seeham tourist office, just a 2-minute walk from the boat landing stage. From there, the trail leads back to the lake, to the bee pavilion and on to the bee house at the Seeham municipal office.

Afterwards it is worth visiting the BioArt Campus with Genuss-Manufakturen, HandWerkstatt and the Café-Restaurant Das Seeham.

Seeham: approx. 3 km in the town centre
